Why do dogs howl when you play an instrument?
Starsaber asked:
I was just playing my harmonica, and my dog, Max started howling. It also happens when I play an oboe, or a bunch of other instruments, but the thing that really gets me is that my dogs wag their tail when they howl at me. Do they just want to sing along or what?

yea, they want to sing with you =]
I hear their ears are very sensitive to noise, and hurts their ears.
I think it hurts their ears my dog does that with the fire alarm
Because you are annoying them and they are saying “shut up?!” he – he – he
Because it hurts their ears. . . .
Haha lol yes i think he is trying to sing with you!
prolly because they like the music and they wanna sing with you. i read that in a dog book. dogs are very musical=]
i dont know my dog does that when i play my trumpet too its kind of creepy when she does it
i believe it is because their ears are sensitive to certain notes. i noticed the same reaction when i play the harmonica.
