What music text books did you (or do your children) use at your elementary and junior high school?

My Japanese friend needs to compare music textbooks of Japan and the United State’s for her graduation thesis. She studies music education of young students. She wants to get textbooks elementary and junior high school students use, but she needs to know the titles first. Could you name the titles of your books you used or your children use now?

for band, kids use Standard of Excellence books(well at least i did) in younger grades
um i played piano and used Suzuki, Alfred, Bastien, and the Neil A Kjos Piano repertiore series( The first 3 are for beginners like really little kids)

I play the violin and I’m in Junior High right now.
I use Essential Elements Book 1-3.
